Hulu: Best Movies to Watch At Night in 2021

While Hulu’s movie library is still growing, it is reaching new heights. It still doesn’t have a collection like Disney Plus or Netflix, but still, the stash is worth checking out. They have some impressive movies, one of them being the new best Christmas movies starring Kristen Stewart and a remarkable Oscar winner directed by Chloe Zhao.

While the movies are not Hulu originals, it has movies like Drama Supernova starring Colin Firth and Stanley Tucci and Saint Maud, a wonderfully unsettling physiological horror, which are the best movies that have been added in May. You can choose your pick if you want.

Comedy

Palm Springs (2020)

This straight comes into the indie movie category. Palm Springs is a Sci-fi premise that acts as a gateway to explore new and different, and deeper ideas. The two main casts are Cristin Miloti and Andy Samberg, star as Sarah and Niles. The two stars meet in weeding and get stuck in all sorts of things, including stumbling into a Groundhog Day time loop.

Big Time Adolescence (2019)

Big Time Adolescence is a coming of aging movie that stars Pete Davidson. Pete Davidson becomes friends with 16-old Mo. Peter Davidson’s influence sees Mo trying new things like Alcohol or impressing girls at parties. There are things and the lesson they learn together. There is a little Cameo of Jon Cryer is cherry on top bringing this heartfelt journey of two boys on the big screen.

Thriller

Run (2020)

Sarah Paulson had a big year in 2020, starring in different movies like Mrs. America, Ratched, and now Run. This is a thriller by Aneesh Chaganty. In Run, Paulson plays Diane Sherman, a mother looking after wheelchair daughter Chloe (Kiera Allen). But the mother-daughter relation is very disturbing. It has all the necessary things, i.e., suspense, mystery, and horror, as Diane takes the mother-daughter relationship to another level.

Bad Hair (2020)

We all know “Hair is everything.” Bad hair might just take this thinking to another level. The horror Satire set in the ’80s follows a young woman who reluctantly agrees to get weave but changing her image to please the image-obsessed music industry has its consequences. This movie funny and unravels an entertaining fable that reflects on modern life.

Little Monsters:

Zombies’ movies are so fun. This one is an Australian outback and a School bus of happy-go-lucky children, a mix that can easily go bad, and it does. Little Monsters follows a kindergarten teacher who is in charge of keeping her students safe and not letting the flesh-eating monsters harm the children. Little Monsters is ridiculous fun using a fresh brain to tackle the genre.

Minding the Gap (2020)

This is one of the best documentaries you will ever see from Bing Liu. From the trailer, you will see that it is a Love letter to skateboarding; however, when watching the movie, you will find a vast depth. It is not just limited to skatepark but goes beyond it. It is a thoughtful story revolving around young people growing up in 21st century America. It also explores various social issues such as domestic trauma, systemic racism, and classism.

Happiest Season (2020) If you love your Christmas movies, this is the one for you. This is the story of a loving couple who encounter a single spanner in their relationship. As their family is conservative and they find it hard to accept their relationship. This is a smart, modern Christmas movie with an emotional punch.
